Betsy Amy-Vogt

Length of time you’ve been involved with JYPA: I joined the committee shortly after returning to Jersey in 2020, and my first production with the JYPA was Grease.

How did you get involved: I know one of the founders, Rhona, as we were in the Jersey Youth Theatre together in the 1980s. She invited me to be part of the group as she knew I supported making theatre accessible for all.

What do you bring to the group - skills/expertise etc: I have done props for several productions and wrote the scripts for the past two Christmas productions we put on in conjunction with Heritage. I just really pitch in with whatever is needed. I think enthusiasm is more important than specific skills. :-)

What would your dream role be in a musical or play: I was part of an improv comedy troupe when I was in University and would love to do that again.
