Length of time you’ve been involved with JYPA: I have been very fortunate to be part of the JYPA committee since it began in 2018.

How did you get involved? I was initially approached because of my role within the Jersey Youth Service as an Inclusion representative but once my children also got involved with JYPA, that was it, we were hooked!

What do you bring to the group? I would love to say I brought singing and dancing experience, but sadly I shall leave that up to my children! I have been involved in all the JYPA shows in one form or another, including Producing a couple of the most recent shows. I use what creative skills I have to make the production programmes too which I really enjoy and take a bit of a lead on the social media side of things too. However, Kirsty and I are determined to one day perform on stage as the infamous Cast C!

One of my proudest achievements was bringing the concept of Relaxed Performances to the JYPA and to Jersey. With the support of our amazing team, our relaxed shows have allowed families, young people and adults with additional needs to attend our shows and enjoy performances that previously they may not have been able to. It’s been wonderful to see relaxed performances offered with other local theatre companies now too.

What would your dream role be? I am a huge fan of musical theatre so it’s hard to pick one role. Either Éponine in Les Misérables or ensemble in Phantom of the Opera’s Masquerade scene!
